Jack in the Box is fueled up and ready to roll it’s Jumbo Jack and Spicy Chicken to the people.
The fast food chain has jumped on the food truck band wagon — literally — with it’s big, bad “Munchie Mobile”. Bigger and badder than the competition, that is.
The truck is about 12-feet longer than the average food truck — too big to drive through its own restaurants — and is covered in 70s inspired van art including the Jack Bobble head. Along with custom fridge and freezer units, it’s got the same equipment as a restaurant kitchen, including grill, fryer, toaster, fountain beverage dispenser and prep area for burgers, sandwiches and tacos. It’s also got a fancy 47-inch flat screen digital menuboard and satellite radio to entertain guests.
But you’ll have to wait for your mobile fix, the truck is set to hit San Diego’s Gaslamp Quarter next month, then Orange County and finally Los Angeles. Is Jack worth waiting for?
