Qdoba Mexican Grill has teamed up with Chicago comedian Joey Dundale to launch the Queso Quest in the Windy City.
Queso is not currently near the top of the list of Chicagoans' favorite savory foods, but Qdoba and Dundale hope to change that. Traveling in the Queso Quest food truck, Dundale will visit iconic Chicago restaurants and landmarks, including Wrigleyville and Soldier Field, to offer customers the chance to taste-test new queso creations.
Fans can follow the truck online and also offer recipe suggestions.
Chicagoans can get coupons for the queso three different ways on the QuesoQuest.com website:
The Qdoba Queso Quest campaign will run through the end of September with the truck making stops all over the greater Chicagoland area. Coupons to try Qdoba's 3-Cheese Queso will be distributed throughout the campaign.
"I'm just one man, with a tricked-out, queso-filled truck and a big dream," Dundale said. "I'll demonstrate to everyone from Navy Pier to Wrigley Field that I love Qdoba queso and believe that it should be the next great Chicagoland food obsession. I challenge all of Chicago to join in my quest to find out what I already know ... queso is delicious!"
