Vayama Go Somewhere Tour

OVERVIEW

Online international travel website, Vayama.com, wanted to spark feelings of wanderlust and make international travel a reality for consumers. Beyond Traditional teamed with Curator PR to create the Go Somewhere Tour, a comprehensive PR and experiential marketing campaign.

CAMPAIGN

Challenged to bring tangibility to an online service, Beyond Traditional produced a 3D mobile show room that included three interactive touch points designed to guide consumers in taking the next steps in making dreams about traveling abroad a reality. The Go Somewhere Tour embarked on a four-month tour, traveling to large festivals and events in twelve markets. Curator PR launched a simultaneous online social media campaign to bring localized activations to a national audience.

While attending some of the most popular spring and summer festivals, the Go Somewhere tour invited consumers to participate by distributing boarding passes that doubled as sweepstakes entries. Event attendees also had the opportunity to win branded premiums through an international trivia game. Consumers explored global destinations through informational journeys on tablets with custom-built digital apps. A photo booth provided consumers with valid passport photos to take that first step in making international travel a reality. All touch points were designed to guide consumers in taking the next steps in making dreams about traveling abroad a reality.

RESULTS

The results of the mobile tour were: more then 2 million consumer impressions generated, resulting in 1.5 million unique visitors to the Vayama.com website and over 10,000 unique email leads.
