Puget Sound Energy is kicking off Rock the Bulb - The Re-Energize Tour! The campaign aims to give customers the opportunity to embrace energy efficient practices in their home. Customers are encouraged to bring in ten old incandescent bulbs and swap them for up to ten new CFL (Compact Fluorescent Light) bulbs.
"Each time you switch an old fashioned bulb for a compact fluorescent you will save about $45 over the lifetime of that bulb. So if you do Rock the Bulb, you'll get ten lights and save as much as $450 by switching to those lights" said Andy Wappler, Puget Sound Energy Spokesperson.
Eight weekend energy efficient fairs and light bulb exchange events will be held over the summer at different locations around the Puget Sound. Visit www.pse.com/rockthebulb for more information about when one of these events will be in your neighborhood.
